Psychosocial Recovery Coaches support participants with psychosocial disabilities to live purposeful and meaningful life. Recovery Coaches have mental health knowledge and/or lived experience so they can better support your needs. Recovery Coaches focus on helping you achieve your goals. A Recovery Coach will first spend time with you and people important to you to better understand your needs. Your coach will then help you better understand the NDIS and help you navigate your support needs, including accessing mental health services. A recovery coach will help you find out about different supports that may be beneficial for you such as different services and programs. This is specialised support that can help participants build capacity and resilience through respectful relationships. Recovery Coaches work with participants, family and other supports so they can collaboratively identify, plan and coordinate their NDIS needs.
